When you configure migration/synchronization tasks on DTS, you can add mappings for the source database names, schemas, and table names.
For example, the destination database contains a table with the same as that in the source database. In this case, you can edit the mapping between the table name in the source database and that in the destination database. Then, DTS will migrate or synchronize the table with the mapped name to the destination database.
In the following part, data migration is used as an example to introduce how to use the database and table name mapping feature.
Procedure
On the Instance List page in the Data Migration module, select the migration instance that you want to configure and click Edit. (Alternatively, select an instance that is already configured and click Edit.) After configuring the source database and destination database information, and proceed to configure the objects and advanced settings. In the Source Database Objects section, expand the database to be migrated.
Expand the objects to be migrated to the level of the objects to be mapped.
Select the desired object, click Move to move the object to the section on the right side, and click Edit to edit the database name for mapping.
Expand the objects to be migrated and click Edit to edit the table name for mapping.
Complete object name mapping.
