Binding and Unbinding an EIP

2025-07-14 06:43:21
Tips for Use
  • Before accessing database instances from the Internet, you must purchase an elastic IP, bind the EIP to the IP address of the database node, and add the IP address or IP address segment to the inbound rule of the security group.

  • For cluster instances, only the Mongos node can be bound to an elastic IP. For other instances, EIP can be bound to any node. If an elastic IP has been bound to a node, unbind the elastic IP from the node before binding another elastic IP.

Binding EIP
  1. Go to DDS > Management Console.

  2. On the Instance Management page, select the specified target instance and click the instance name. The Basic Information page is displayed.

  3. Choose Basic Information > Node Information and click Bind EIP. For cluster instances, select the specified mongos node and click More > Bind EIP in the Operation column.

  4. The EIP list displays EIPs in the Unbound state. Select the EIP to bind and click OK. The binding task is submitted. If no EIP is available, click View EIP to create a new EIP.

  5. After EIP is bound, you can check the EIP that is successfully bound in the "IPv4" column in the node information.

Unbinding EIP
  1. Go to DDS > Management Console.

  2. On the Instance Management page, select the specified target instance and click the instance name. The Basic Information page is displayed.

  3. Choose Basic Information > Node Information and click Bind EIP. For cluster instances, select the specified mongos node and click More > Unbind EIP in the Operation column.

  4. In the pop-up window, click OK. The EIP is unbound.
