Recovering to the existing instance
You can recover the backup data set of the stand-alone version (single-node) instance to the existing instance in the DDS in the following steps:
Go to the DDS Management Console.
Click Instance Management to go to the instance list page.
Click the instance ID of the stand-alone version instance whose status is running to go to the instance details page.
Click to select the Backup and Recovery page, or click the Backup Management menu on the left.
In the backup data set list, select the corresponding backup data set, click Recover in the Operation column.
In the Recover Backup pop-up window, select the target instance, click OK (it is the Submit button for some resource pools), and wait until the data recovery is complete.
Recovering to new instance
You can recover the backup data set of the stand-alone version (single-node) instance to the new instance in the DDS in the following steps:
1. Go to the DDS Management Console.
2. Click Instance Management to go to the instance list page.
3. Click the instance ID of the stand-alone version instance whose status is running to go to the instance details page.
4. Click to select the Backup and Recovery page, or click the Backup Management menu on the left.
5. Click to select the Backup and Recovery page, or click the Backup Management menu on the left.
6. In the Recover Backup pop-up window, select New Instance button, click OK, enter to DDS Recovering page, and wait until the data recovery is complete.
Note:
After you recover backup data to this instance or another instance, data on the instance will be overwritten. Exercise caution with this action.
To prevent instance data from being overwritten, you can choose to create an instance and recover the backup data to the instance.
The instance will become unavailable during recovery. Wait until the recovery is complete before reading or writing data.
