Configuring or Enabling Auto Backup Policy

  1. Go to the DDS Management Console.

  2. Click Instance Management to go to the instance list page.

  3. Click the name of an instance (instance ID of the running instance for some resource pools) whose status is Running to go to the instance details page.

  4. Click to select the Backup and Recovery page, and click Modify Backup Policy to configure an automatic backup policy suitable for your business.

  5. Click OK. The automatic backup policy is complete.

Disabling Auto Backup Policy

  1. Go to the DDS Management Console.

  2. Click Instance Management to go to the instance list page.

  3. Click the name of an instance (instance ID of the running instance for some resource pools) for which you want to disable auto backup to go to the instance details page.

  4. Click to select the Backup and Recovery page, click Modify Backup Policy, and click the Close button to the right of Automatic Backup to make it grayed out.

  5. Click OK. The auto backup policy is disabled.

Description

  • The options of backup interval include 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours.

  • You can select the time for the next backup. The time cannot be earlier than the current time.

  • Automatic backups are automatically cleaned up periodically. You can select the number of copies to be automatically backed up. The number indicates the number of copies to be automatically backed up. For example, if you select 1, one copy of automatic backup data is retained. The platform can retain a maximum of three copies of automatic backup data for users.

  • The point-in-time error of automatic backup is within minutes.

  • By default, automatic backup is enabled for users at an interval of 24 hours. By default, automatic backup data is retained for 3 days.

  • After the instance is created, a full backup will be automatically performed by default.
