You may need to restart a database instance for maintenance. You can restart the instance from the console.
Open the DDS console page.
Click Instance Management to go to the instance list page.
In the Operation column to the right of the instance you want to restart, click Restart. The Restart Instance confirmation dialog box is displayed. Click OK and wait until the restart is complete.
