Document Database Service

Instance Recycle Bin

2025-07-14 08:40:26

After a Document Database Service (DDS) instance enters the recycle bin, you can choose to restore, renew, or delete the instance from the recycle bin.

Scenario

1. If a user voluntarily unsubscribes a subscription-based Document Database Service (DDS) instance, the instance will enter the instance recycle bin.

2. If a user voluntarily terminates an on-demand Document Database Service (DDS) instance, the instance will enter the instance recycle bin.

3. For a subscription-based DDS instance that is frozen due to expiration, the user can renew or rebuild the instance from the instance recycle bin within 15 days.

4. For an on-demand DDS instance that is suspended due to unpaid fees, the instance will automatically move back to the instance list once the user completes an account recharge within 15 days.

Constraints

1. Instances, whether on-demand or subscription-based, that are manually unsubscribed or overdue in fees for more than 15 days cannot be restored or rebuilt from the instance recycle bin.

Procedure

1. Enter the Document Database Service management console.

2. Click the "System Management" > "Recycle Bin" button on the left side to enter the instance recycle bin page.

3. Find the instance you need to operate on and click the "Rebuild" button.

4. You will be redirected to the new instance setup page, where you can select the corresponding specifications and proceed with the order and payment.

Note:

The rebuilt instance will be created in the same availability zone as the original instance by default, with the same specifications.

The rebuilt instance will be based on the most recent full backup data prior to entering the recycle bin.

If the instance did not undergo a full backup before entering the recycle bin, it will not be possible to rebuild the instance from the recycle bin.
