Scenario
When there is an update to the corresponding kernel patch version, users can proactively upgrade the version of the DDS on the instance management page.
Upgrade Methods
Shortest Interruption Duration: The upgrade process has a relatively small impact on business operations.
Shortest Change Duration: The upgrade process is relatively short in duration but will restart the instance, interrupting business access.
Description
The shortest interruption duration is the default recommended upgrade method.
Upgrade Timing
Upgrade During Maintenance Window: You can set the instance to upgrade during the maintenance window.
Immediate Upgrade: You can manually trigger an upgrade. If the current instance status is not running, the upgrade will wait for other tasks to complete, with a maximum wait time of 2 hours.

Upgrade During Maintenance Window is the default recommended upgrade time strategy.
Procedure
1. After entering the console, you have two ways to upgrade the kernel patch version.
2. On the "Instance Management" page, click "Upgrade Patch."
a. Click on the instance name to enter the instance details page.
b. In the "Configuration Information" module under "Database Version," click "Upgrade Patch."
3. In the pop-up box, select the upgrade method and time, then click "OK."
4. The instance's running status will change to "Upgrading," indicating the start of the upgrade. When the status changes to "Running," the upgrade is complete. You can check the upgrade progress and results in the task center.
