In the DDS, you can modify parameters of database instances and save applications. You need to view the parameters before changing them.
Viewing Configuration Parameters
The DDS provides optimized parameter settings as default configuration parameters for the created instance. You can view the configuration parameters for the database instance in the DDS console.
Open the instance list page in the DDS console.
Click Instance Management on the left to go to the instance list page.
Click Instance ID of the instance for which you want to view configuration parameters to go to the instance details page.
Click the Parameter Setup tab to view the configuration parameters of the current instance.
You can execute fuzzy search for parameter names in the upper right corner of the Parameter Setup tab.
Changing Configuration Parameters
In general, the default parameters have been optimized and do not need to be changed. However, for personalized requirements, you can reset the parameters.
Go to the Parameter Setup tab by referring to the "Viewing Instance Configuration Parameters" section.
In the Current Value column of the parameter you want to modify, reconfigure the value you want to modify.
Click the Save button in the upper left corner of the Parameter Setup tab to save your change.
Click the Cancel button in the upper left corner of the Parameter Setup tab to cancel the current change.
Note:
Some parameters can only be modified within allowable values, and some parameters cannot be modified by users in production environments.
The configuration parameters are classified into static parameters and dynamic parameters. Dynamic parameters take effect immediately after you click Save, while static parameters take effect only after you restart the DDS.
If any of the modified parameters takes effect only after you restart the instance, click on the Save button will restart the instance. A restart prompt will be displayed. You need to click OK again to check that the modification takes effect upon restart. Restarting an instance will cause connection interruption and cache failure. Therefore, if you modify the parameters that take effect upon restart, make business arrangements in advance and exercise caution with this action.
