Billing by Traffic
Billing based on daily actual traffic volume, the "traffic" in this article refers to CDN egress traffic.
Chinese Mainland
The following table shows the price of tiered progressive billing by traffic for Chinese Mainland acceleration.
| Tiers of traffic Volume | Price(USD/GB) |
|---|---|
| (0GB,10TB] | 0.028 |
| (10TB,50TB] | 0.025 |
| (50TB,+∞) | 0.021 |
Billing method: By traffic, pay as you go (The accumulation period of tiered progressive billing of egress traffic is based on calendar month) OR using traffic package (prepaid).
Billing cycle: Hourly settlement and fee deduction. ( The final billing data will be generated on the 3rd day of next month. You can view and export the final billing data since 10 AM of the 4th day of next month. The actual available time of billing data is subject to billing system.
Billing scenario: It is applicable to the scenario in which the traffic volume fluctuates greatly with spikes, and the bandwidth utilization rate is lower than 30% in a whole day.
Example:
In the case of billing by traffic, assuming that the daily traffic from November 1 to November 2 is 9TB, and the daily traffic from November 3 to November 4 is 25TB, the billing calculation is as follows:
| Date | Traffic of the day (TB) | Accumulated Traffic (TB) | Matched Tier | Traffic volume within the tier (TB) | Price (USD/GB) | Fee (USD) | Total fee of the day (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11.1 | 9 | 9 | (0GB,10TB] | 9 | 0.028 | 252 | 252 |
| 11.2 | 9 | 18 | (0GB,10TB] | 1 | 0.028 | 28 | 228 |
| (10TB,50TB] | 8 | 0.025 | 200 | ||||
| 11.3 | 25 | 43 | (10TB,50TB] | 25 | 0.025 | 625 | 625 |
| 11.4 | 25 | 68 | (10TB,50TB] | 7 | 0.025 | 175 | 553 |
| (50TB,+∞) | 18 | 0.021 | 378 |
On November 1st, the cumulative traffic is 9TB, and the traffic of the day is 9TB, matches the tier (0TB, 10TB). The price of the matched tier is 0.028 USD/GB, so the fee of the day is $252 USD.
On November 2nd, the traffic of the day is 9TB, the cumulative traffic reaches at 18TB. The first 1TB still matches the tier (0TB, 10TB) with price 0.028 USD/GB and the fee is $28 USD. The remained 8TB matches tier (10TB,50TB] with price 0.025 USD/GB and the fee $200 USD. So the total fee of the day is $228 USD.
On November 3rd, the traffic of the day is 25TB, the cumulative traffic reaches at 43TB, matches tier (10TB,50TB] with price 0.025 USD/GB, so the total fee of day is $625 USD.
On November 4th, the traffic of the day is 25TB, the cumulative traffic reaches at 68TB. The first 7TB still matches the tier (10TB,50TB] with price 0.025 USD/GB and the fee is $175 USD. The remained 18TB matches tier (50TB,+∞) with price 0.021 USD/GB and the fee $378 USD. So the total fee of the day is $553 USD.

Chinese Mainland
The following table shows the price of tiered billing by bandwidth for Chinese Mainland acceleration.
| Tiered Bandwidth Volume | Price(USD/Mbps/Day) |
|---|---|
| (0Mbps,100Mbps] | 0.095 |
| (100Mbps,500Mbps] | 0.085 |
| (500Mbps,5Gbps] | 0.075 |
| (5Gbps,+∞) | 0.069 |
Billing method: By daily peak bandwidth (The billing price is determined by the matched tier of the daily peak bandwidth.)
Billing cycle: Daily settlement and fee deduction. ( The final billing data will be generated on the 3rd day of next month. You can view and export the final billing data since 10 AM of the 4th day of next month. The actual available time of billing data is subject to billing system.
Billing scenario: It is applicable to the scenario in which the bandwidth is relatively flat, and the bandwidth utilization rate is greater than 30% in a whole day.
Example:
In the case of billing by daily peak bandwidth, assuming that the daily peak bandwidth of November 1 is 10Mbps, and the daily peak bandwidth of November 2 is 10Gbps, the billing calculation is as follows:
| Date | Peak Bandwidth of the day | Matched Tier | Price(USD/Mbps/Day) | Total fee of the day(USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11.1 | 10Mbps | (0Mbps,100Mbps] | 0.095 | 0.95 |
| 11.2 | 10Gbps | (5Gbps,+∞) | 0.069 | 690 |
The peak bandwidth of November 1st is 10Mbps, matches tier (0Mbps,100Mbps], the price is 0.095 USD/Mbps/Day, so the total fee of the day is $0.95 USD.
The peak bandwidth of November 2nd is 10Gbps, matches tier (5Gbps,+∞), the price is 0.069 USD/Mbps/Day, so the total fee of the day is $690 USD.
If there is no other usage for the rest days of November, the monthly fee of billing will be $0.95+$690=$690.95 USD.

Additional Considerations
Bandwidth utilization rate = Actually used traffic (GB)/Peak bandwidth (Mbps) x 10.54. The traffic generated every day for the 1 Mbps bandwidth whose utilization is 100% is about 10.54 GB.
The traffic charged by the CDN is higher than that recorded in the log. This is because the traffic recorded in the CDN log is the traffic counted by the application layer log. However, the consumption of TCP/IP headers and TCP retransmission consumption in actual network requests is 7% to 15% higher than the traffic counted by the application layer. Therefore, according to the industry standard, the billing data used in bills will rise by 10% on the basis of monitoring data on the console.
CDN billing is based on the 1000, for example, 1 Gbps=1000 Mbps.
