Scenario

Bucket quota refers to the maximum capacity or quantity of objects that can be uploaded to a bucket. If the number of objects exceeds this quota, any additional uploads will fail. Perform this operation when you need to restrict the maximum capacity and the number of objects within the bucket.

Restriction and Limitations

• The bucket quota only restricts file uploads after it is set. If the set quota is smaller than the total capacity or number of files already uploaded, the existing files remain unaffected, but further uploads are prohibited. To upload new files, you can increase the quota or delete unnecessary files to free up space.

• To use this feature, submit a ticket to apply for the necessary permissions. We plan to expand to other nodes to support this feature.

Operation Steps

On the homepage of the official eSurfing Cloud website, click Console , and enter your username and password to log in to the console.
In the upper part of the console, click and select a region. In this example, Asia Pacific-China (Hong Kong 2) is selected.
Choose Storage > Zettabyte Object Storage .
Click the bucket name to open the overview page.
Click the Basic Setting tab, and then click Setting in the Bucket List section.
Enable the bucket quota and choose to limit it by capacity, quantity, or both. The capacity unit can be KB, MB, GB, TB, or PB. When the unit is PB, the value is an integer ranging from 1 to 1000. For other units, the value is an integer ranging from 1 to 9999. The quantity limit value is an integer ranging from 1 to 400,000,000.
Click Save to save the quota.
