Scenario

You can only download objects, access them using their URLs, or configure ACLs for objects stored in Archive storage after unfreezing them.

Limitations

• During the unfreezing process of objects in Archive storage, you cannot suspend or delete the unfreezing task.

• After unfreezing an archived object, a copy is generated and stored as a Standard storage object. The object has both a Standard storage copy and Archive storage copy. After an archived object is unfrozen, the status of the object is unfrozen and the Standard storage copy is not displayed in the bucket.

• The duration for which a file remains unfrozen spans from 1 to 31 days.

• The object is billed for both Standard and Archive storage during the validity period. The Standard storage copy is deleted automatically after expiration of validity.

• Unfreezing a 1 GB archived storage object takes no more than 1 minute on average.

• Archive storage does not incur additional retrieval time costs.
