Scenario

Files uploaded to a bucket inherit the read/write permissions of the bucket. You can specify the read/write permissions for files during the upload process or adjust them after the upload is complete. You can switch between private and public read permissions for a file using the console. It's recommended to keep files private to ensure data security.

Restriction and Limitations

Changing the read/write permissions for a bucket does not affect existing files within the bucket. However, newly uploaded files will inherit the updated bucket permissions.

Operation Steps

On the homepage of the official eSurfing Cloud website, click Console, and enter your username and password to log in to the console.
In the upper part of the console, click and select a region. In this example, Asia Pacific-China (Hong Kong 2) is selected.
Choose Storage > Zettabyte Object Storage.
Click the bucket name to open the overview page.
Click the File Management tab, select the file you want to configure and then click More in the Operation column.
Choose Set Read and Write Permission from the dropdown list.
If you choose Public Read, select I have read and agreed to the relevant agreement eSurfing Zettabyte Object Storage System Service Agreement, and then click Confirm.
If you choose Private, click OK to complete the configuration.

Description

You can also select the file on the File Management page to access file details and then configure the read/write permissions accordingly.
