Introduction to Static Web Hosting

To set up static website hosting in ZOS, start by uploading static website files to your bucket. Then, grant the public read permission to the files and configure static website hosting for the bucket. Typically, a static website comprises static webpages, possibly containing client-side scripts like JavaScript and Flash.

Static Web Hosting Configuration

Prerequisites

The webpage files have been uploaded to the specified bucket.

1. In the ZOS console, click the bucket name to open the overview page.

2. To open the static website to all users, perform the following operations to allow static webpages within the bucket to be publicly accessible.

Select the Permission Management tab, and locate Read Permission丨Write Permission.

Select Public Read and click Save.

3. On the Basic Setting page, click Setting in the Static Page Setting section.

Set the default page and 404 (NotFound) page in Default Page and Default 404 Page.
