Scenario

ZOS allows the hosting of static websites within a bucket and supports features such as displaying index pages, error pages, and page redirection. To host static websites in ZOS, upload static website files to your bucket, grant anonymous users the read permissions of the files, and configure static website hosting for the bucket.

Static websites typically consist of static webpages, which may include client-side scripts like Flash. In contrast, dynamic websites depend on server-side processing scripts, including PHP and JSP. ZOS does not support server-side processing scripts.

Redirection Description

When using the static website hosting feature of ZOS, you can redirect specific or all requests. When the website address is changed, attempting to access the site using the old address results in a 404 error page. However, with redirection enabled, users accessing the website can be automatically directed to specified pages.

Limitations

This feature is currently supported on Shanghai 32 and Shanghai 36 nodes. To use this feature, submit a ticket to apply for the necessary permissions. We plan to expand to other nodes to support this feature.
