Billing Item | Storage Type | Meaning | Billing Mode |
Single-AZ Storage Space Fees | Standard Storage | Billing is based on the storage capacity and duration of Standard Storage (Single-AZ Redundancy) files. • Storage capacity is calculated by the actual file size. • Storage duration is calculated by the actual number of days the file is stored in ZOS. | Pay-As-You-Go |
Infrequent Storage | Billing is based on the storage capacity and duration of Infrequent Storage (Single-AZ Redundancy) files. • Storage capacity is calculated by the actual file size. • If the storage duration is fewer than 30 days, it is billed for the full 30 days; if it exceeds 30 days, billing is based on the actual number of days stored.. Note Infrequent Storage has a minimum retention period of 30 days. If data is deleted or transitioned to another storage class before reaching 30 days, charges still apply for the full period. | Pay-As-You-Go
Archive Storage | Billing is based on the storage capacity and duration of Archive Storage (Single-AZ Redundancy) files. • Storage capacity is calculated by the actual file size. • If the storage duration is fewer than 90 days, it is billed for the full 90 days; if it exceeds 90 days, billing is based on the actual number of days stored.. Note After archive data is restored (thawed), a Standard Storage copy is created for a specified validity period. During this valid period, storage fees apply to both the Standard Storage copy and the Archive Storage object. The copy is automatically deleted when the validity period ends. Archive Storage has a minimum retention period of 90 days. If data is deleted or transitioned to another storage class before reaching 90 days, charges still apply for the full period. | Pay-As-You-Go
Multi-AZ Storage Fees | Standard Storage | Billing is based on the storage capacity and duration of Standard Storage (Multi-AZ Redundancy) files. • Storage capacity is calculated by the actual file size. • Storage duration is calculated by the actual number of days the file is stored in ZOS. | Pay-As-You-Go |
Infrequent Storage | Billing is based on the storage capacity and duration of Infrequent Storage (Multi-AZ Redundancy) files. | Pay-As-You-Go |
Description
Data is stored within a single AZ, offering a lower-cost option compared with Multi-AZ redundancy.
Multi-AZ Redundancy: ZOS nodes are deployed across multiple AZs within the same region to form a unified cluster for ZOS (i.e., data is stored in multiple AZs of the same region), providing enhanced data security and reliability. For example, with 4+2 erasure coding across 3 AZs, a 4MB file is split into 4 parts (1 MB each) and 2 MB parity data, stored in AZ1, AZ2, and AZ3. Any single AZ failure does not affect service.
