ZOS provides three storage types, each tailored to specific service level and pricing. You can select the appropriate storage type based on the frequency of data access, availability requirements, and associated costs.

Bucket and Object Storage Types

When creating a bucket, you can specify its storage type. Once created, the storage type cannot be changed. However, you can change the storage type for objects within the bucket. If you require a bucket with a different storage type, consider creating a new one.

By default, when uploading an object to a bucket, its storage type aligns with that of the bucket. However, you can specify a different storage type for the object during the upload process or modify it manually afterward.
