Zettabyte Object Storage (ZOS) is an elastic storage product provided by eSurfing Cloud featuring high reliability and cost effectiveness with a massive storage form for cloud computing, big data, and unstructured data. It provides cloud storage services for unstructured data (images, audio and video, text and files in other formats) through the S3 protocol and standard service interfaces.
In ZOS, data is stored in objects, each containing metadata, data, and an Object ID (OID). This approach isolates the data path from the control path, while intelligent storage devices (OSDs) manage data distribution, thereby boosting storage performance and security.
