Add NIC
When your Elastic Cloud Server requires multiple NICs, you can add them to the Elastic Cloud Server.
Prerequisites
· Users can add/delete the NIC in the On/Off state.
· The mast NIC does not support deletion, while the extended NIC supports.
Procedure
1. Enter the Elastic Cloud Server details page and click Add NIC.
2. Configure the security group and extended NIC information in the pop-up window.
3. Click OK to add the NIC.
Delete NIC
An Elastic Cloud Server can be bound to multiple elastic NICs, including a master NIC, which cannot be deleted. When your Elastic Cloud Server needs to delete NICs other than the master NIC, you can refer to the following steps.
1. Go to the Elastic Cloud Server details page, select the NIC you want to delete, and click Delete NIC.
Note
For the master NIC of the Elastic Cloud Server (the default is the first NIC displayed in the NIC list), the user cannot delete it.
1. Click OK in the pop-up dialog box to delete the NIC;
Modify Intranet IP address
Prerequisites
· The cloud server is in the Shutdown state;
· Only the master NIC supports modifying the Intranet IP, and the secondary NIC must be deleted first;
· If the NIC is bound to a virtual IP or DNAT rule, you need to unbind it first;
· If there is an IPv6 address on the NIC, you cannot change the Intranet IP address (including IPv4 and IPv6).
· If you need to modify the Intranet IP address of the ELB backend server, please remove the backend server group first and then modify the Intranet IP address;
· If the cloud server is used as the next hop of the static route, you must delete the static route before modifying the Intranet IP.
Procedure
1. Log in to the Control Center;
2. On the system homepage, click Control Center > Elastic Cloud Server to enter the cloud server list page;
Select the corresponding cloud server, select the corresponding master NIC (secondary NIC needs to be deleted) on the cloud server details page, and click Change Intranet IP or Modify VPC.
