Scenario
After the Elastic Cloud Server is successfully created, you can modify the name of the cloud server according to your needs.
Modify the Instance Name of ECS
Method 1:
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center, and select Region.
3. Click Service List in the left navigation bar, select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Move the mouse over the Instance Name column of the target cloud server.
5. Click Edit and modify the instance name in the Name input box. Naming rules:
6. Click OK to complete the modification of the ECS hostname.
Parameter | Rule | Remarks |
Instance Name | 2 to 63 characters long. | Chinese characters, English letters, numbers and symbols are all acceptable. The name can be the same as that of other cloud servers. |
Method 2:
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center, and select Region.
3. Click Service List in the left navigation bar, select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Move the mouse over the Instance/Hostname column of the target cloud server and click to enter the details page.
5. Locate the instance name item, click the Edit button, and modify the instance name in the Instance Name input box.
Method 3:
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center, and select Region.
3. Click Service List in the left navigation bar, select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Move the mouse over the Action column of the target cloud server and click Edit Cloud Server Properties.
5. Locate the instance name item and modify the cloud server instance name in the input box.
6. Click Confirm to complete the modification
