Application Scenarios

This section describes how to manually install BT Panel on the Linux cloud server. BT Panel is a server management software, which supports Windows and Linux systems, you can easily manage servers through the Web to improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance. For example, you can create and manage websites, FTP, databases, with visual file manager, visual software manager, as well as functions such as visual CPU, memory, traffic monitoring charts, and scheduled tasks. At the same time, the BT Panel also provides a simple and intuitive user interface, making it easy for beginners to manage their own servers. This section takes CentOS 7.2 64-bit operating system as an example to introduce the process of installing Linux BT panel.

Before You Begin

Cloud server resource configuration and operating system requirements:

· The minimum cloud server specification is 1-core 1G (The software requires a minimum of 512MB of memory, 768MB or more is recommended, and the pure panel takes up about 60MB of system memory).

· EVS: any size (The software requires more than 300M of available EVS space, and the pure panel takes up about 20M of disk space).

· Architecture: supports x86_64 architecture (The ARM architecture is not fully compatible, the panel environment is slow to install, and some software may not be installed, please try with caution).

· BT Linux 6.0 version is developed based on CentOS7, it is recommended to use CentOS 7.x system.

· The cloud server is brand new and has a clean environment. Apache, Nginx, PHP, and MySQL have not been installed.

Operation Steps for Installing BT Panel

The specific steps for manually installing the BT Panel on a Linux instance are as follows:

1. Installing BT Panel.

2. Modify the security group rule to which the cloud server belongs.

3. Log in to BT Panel.

Procedure

1. Installing BT Panel.
1) Log in to Cloud Server.
2) Execute the following command to download and install the BT Panel.

2. yum install -y wget && wget -O install.sh http://download.bt.cn/install/install_6.0.sh && sh install.sh

Wait until the command is executed. During execution, you will be prompted whether to mount the disk to /www, as shown in the figure below:

Enter a lowercase y letter to confirm the mount.

After the installation is completed, it will prompt that the installation is successful, and display some parameters, such as panel URL, port number, "username", and "password".

 

                    

Description

Please properly record the parameter values such as URL, port number, username, and password in the echo message for use in the following steps.

3. Modify the security group rule to which the cloud server belongs.
Add security group rules to the security group where the cloud server is located, as shown in the table below. For details, see Adding Security Group Rules.

5. Log in to BT Panel.
1) Enter the URL address in the echo message in the address bar of your browser, for example, http://101.227.xxx.xx:23240/adc75581. Successfully accessed, as shown in the figure below:

2) Enter the account and password recorded in the installation step, check the BT user agreement, bind the BT account, and enter the BT management page.

3) According to business needs, you can install related suite and deploy the website on the panel.
