Scenario
After creating a cloud server, if the current configuration cannot meet your business needs, you can change the specifications of the cloud server, that is, modify the vCPU and memory configuration of the cloud server.
Change Notes
· The account has the appropriate access rights to perform the specification change operation.
· The resource quotas of different cloud server specifications are different. In order to keep consistent with the resource quota requirements of the target specifications, you may be required to unbind some resources, such as Elastic IP.
· Ensure that the cloud server is in the Shutdown state.
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. In the list of Elastic Cloud Server, locate the cloud server for which you want to change the specifications, and click the Configuration Change button in the cloud server Action bar.
5. On the Change Specification page that pops up, select the target specification you want to change, and it will be judged and prompted based on the selected specification and the status of the cloud server. For example, if it can only be cold changed to that specification, you will be prompted to shut down.
6. After confirming that the selection is correct, click OK.
7. Go to the Order Payment page, make sure that the configurations and fees are correct, and click Pay Now.
8. After the payment process, wait for the specification change to complete.
Possible disk mounting issues with changing specifications
Check the disk mounting status
When changing specifications, disk mounting failures may occur. Therefore, after changing specifications, it is necessary to check whether the disk mounting status is normal. If it is normal, the change is successful.
