Scenario
The EVS can be mounted to the cloud server, and different EVS processing options will be provided when unsubscribing/deleting the cloud server. If the EVS is enabled to be released with the cloud server, the EVS will be automatically released when the cloud server is released. If it is not enabled to be released with the cloud server, the mounted data disk will be first unbound from the cloud server and retained.
· The EVS purchased in the same order as the cloud server (system disks and data disks mounted when creating the cloud server) is released with the cloud server by default, and the settings cannot be modified.
· The EVS purchased in different order from the cloud server (data disks that are only mounted after the cloud server is created) is not released with the cloud server by default. On-demand EVS can be modified to be released with the cloud server.
Restriction and Limitations
· This function is applicable to all cloud servers that can mount EVS;
· Shared disks do not support being released with the server by default;
· The same cloud server can mount multiple EVSs, and the settings for releasing different EVSs with the server can be different;
· After unmounting the EVS from the cloud server, the property of whether to release the EVS with the server will become invalid;
· When releasing with instance is disabled, the following situations may also cause EVS retention to fail:
o The user has not enabled on-demand permissions
o The user has not completed real-name authentication
o The user account balance is less than RMB 100
· The retained EVS is charged normally, which will generate a bill. Users can view the corresponding consumption details in the Billing Center.
