Restrictions Overview
There are the following limitations when using elastic cloud servers:
Elastic cloud servers do not support the installation of virtualization software and secondary virtualization.
Audio card applications are not supported.
Direct loading of external hardware devices (such as hardware encryption locks, USB drives, external hard drives, bank UKey, etc.) is not supported. You can try using software encryption locks or dynamic password two-factor authentication, etc.
Do not uninstall the drivers for the hardware of the elastic cloud server.
Do not modify the MAC address of the NIC.
Some software or application licenses need to be bound with the hardware information of the elastic cloud server. When a cloud server undergoes migration, it may cause changes to the hardware information, which can lead to the license becoming invalid.
Due to physical machine fault causing the migration of cloud servers, there may be a restart or shutdown during the migration process. It is recommended that you configure the system business process for automatic pull-up and startup self-start, or achieve high availability of business through business cluster deployment, master-slave deployment, and other methods.
It is recommended that you make a data backup for the cloud server where your core business is deployed.
It is advised that you configure monitoring for the business metrics on your cloud server.

After October 15, 2023, in some resource pools, the number of Elastic IPs that a single cloud server can bind will change according to the CPU configuration differences of the server, and the specific rules and amounts are as follows:
Note: If you purchased the cloud server before October 15, 2023, you can still use the elastic IPs that have been bound. However, when performing operations such as unbinding or upgrading/downgrading the host, the number of elastic IPs that can be bound to the host will be calculated according to the new rules.
