Introduction

This section describes how to deploy a Windows environment by reinstalling the system with eSurfing Cloud image. If you have purchased an ECS and want to switch to Windows system, or want to use the image to redeploy an environment with other software pre-installed, you can refer to the introduction and guidance of this document.

For restrictions and limitations on reinstalling the system, see Reinstalling the Operating System.

Procedure

1. Log in to the eSurfing Cloud console.

2. Select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.

3. Select the specified cloud server and shut it down.

4. If the cloud server is already shut down, you can directly reinstall the system. After reinstalling the system, the system disk data will be lost. If you want to keep some data, you can back it up first.

5. Select the More option in the action bar of the cloud server list and select One-click Reinstall.

6. To reinstall the system on cloud servers in batches, select multiple cloud server instances, click More above the cloud server list, and select One-click Reinstall.

7. Read the prompts on the one-click reinstall page carefully and select the desired Windows image. You can select a public, private, shared, or security product image.

8. Set password and user data. Password is required, user data can be left unconfigured. Click OK to reinstall the system.

9. You can view the status of the reinstalled cloud server in the cloud server list.

10. After reinstallation, the cloud server's status will return to Shutdown, and the cloud server can be used normally.
