Elastic Volume Service (CT-EVS) is an elastically scalable block storage device that provides high-performance and highly reliable block storage services for Elastic Cloud Server and Physical Server. eSurfing Cloud Elastic Volume Service come in various sizes to accommodate diverse business needs, suitable for distributed file systems, databases, development testing, and more.
Users can operate and manage EVSs online, and format and create file systems for EVSs mounted to the cloud server just like using traditional server disks.
Architecture
EVS can be mounted to elastic cloud servers and physical servers. The backup and snapshot features of EVS can help users recover data and create new EVS, which provide users with powerful data protection and improve data reliability, flexibility and disaster recovery.
Access Mode
eSurfing Cloud provides the following ways to configure and manage EVSs:
· Console: A web-based service management platform that uses the management console to configure and manage EVSs.
· API: eSurfing Cloud also supports users to access EVSs through API (Application programming interface). For details, see EVS API Reference.
