Elastic IP Address (EIP) is a public IP address that can be applied for independently. By binding and unbinding the elastic IP address and the associated cloud resources in the subnet, the cloud resources in VPC can be connected to the Internet through fixed public IP address. Elastic IPs include public IP addresses and offer bandwidth services. Combined with other bandwidth products, they enable public network access while reducing costs.
EIPs must be used in the same region as the associated cloud resources, and cannot be used across regions.
