Scenario
This section describes how to log in to the Linux cloud server via the remote login function (VNC) on the cloud server console.
Restriction and Limitations
· The Linux cloud server is in the Running state.
· Usually, the default username for Linux OS is "root", while the default username for CoreOS is "core".
· The username and password are required for remote login on the cloud server console. If the login method is set to the key when creating a Linux cloud server, please use the reset password function to set the login password for the Linux cloud server and then follow the operations in this section. For details about how to reset the password, see Reset ECS Password in Console.
· The remote login feature uses a custom port configured by the system for access. Make sure the ports you need to use are not blocked by the firewall. For example, if the remote login link is "xxx:8002", make sure that port 8002 is not blocked by the firewall.
· If the client operating system uses a local proxy and the user is unable to configure the firewall port for the proxy, disable the proxy mode before using the remote login feature.
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Select the Windows Elastic Cloud Server you want to log in to and click Remote Login under the Action column to bring up the Remote Login window with the operating system interface.
5. Enter the username and press Enter.
6. Enter the password and press Enter.
Note
The command line interface of Linux, no characters are displayed when entering the password. Press Enter when the input is complete, if the username and password are accurate, you will be automatically logged in successfully. If either username or password is incorrect, you will be prompted to re-enter.
