With the cloud server group function, cloud servers will be created as dispersed as possible on different hosts to improve business reliability, or as concentrated as possible on the same host to enhance business performance.
Create server group
If you do not have any server group, you need to create a new one and configure the server group policy.
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Select Cloud Server Group on the left.
1. Click Create Cloud Server Group.
1. Determine the server group name, which can only contain Chinese and English letters, numbers, underlines(_), dashes(-) and dots(.), and the length is between 2~64 characters.
2. Select server group policy:
· The cloud servers in the cloud server group with mandatory affinity policy strictly enforce the creation of cloud servers on the same host;
· The affinity policy tries to create cloud servers on the same host as much as possible, which cannot ensure strict enforcement;
· The cloud servers in the cloud server group with mandatory anti-affinity policy strictly enforce the dispersed creation of cloud servers on different hosts;
· The anti-affinity policy tries to create cloud servers dispersedly on different hosts, which cannot ensure strict enforcement.
1. Click OK.
Create a new cloud server and add it to the server group
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Click Create Cloud Server.
5. In the Cloud Server Group module on the Advanced Configuration page, click Select Cloud Server Group.
1. Select Cloud Server Group (a cloud server group can add 16 cloud servers by default, you can click View Cloud Server Group to view the number of cloud servers in the cloud server group);
2. Click OK.
Add the existing cloud servers to the server group
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Select Cloud Server Group on the left.
5. Click the name of the target cloud server group to enter the details page of the cloud server group.
1. Select Add Cloud Server and select the cloud server that you want to join the cloud server group.
Note:
When a running cloud server is added to the new cloud server group the cloud server may be restarted.
1. Click OK.
Delete cloud server group
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center, and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Select Cloud Server Group on the left.
5. Locate the cloud server group you want to delete and click the Delete button in the right action bar.
6. Click the Confirm button in the delete confirmation pop-up window.
7. Return to the cloud server group list, refresh the page, the cloud server group deletion is completed.
Migrate cloud server in batches from cloud server group
Procedure
1. Log in to the console.
2. Click at the top of Control Center, and select Region.
3. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.
4. Select Cloud Server Group on the left.
5. Click the name of the target cloud server group to enter the details page of the cloud server group.
6. Check the cloud servers that need to be migrated in the cloud server list, or check all the cloud servers by selecting all checkboxes, and click the Remove Cloud Server button.
7. Confirm the cloud server information in the confirmation pop-up window and click OK to complete the batch removal operation.
