Scenario

This section will provide you with detailed steps and methods on how to create a Windows private image via cloud server. In this section, you will learn how to create your own Windows private image on the Elastic Cloud Server to meet your specific application requirements and personalized configurations.

Prerequisites

· A cloud server running the Windows OS has been installed.

· Ensure that the cloud server NIC used to create the private image is set to DHCP to dynamically obtain the network address, which is satisfied by default;

· Only cloud servers that are currently Shutdown can be used to create private images. If the selected cloud server status is Running, please shut down it first.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Control Center and switch to the corresponding node;

2. Click Service List in the left navigation bar, select Computing > Image Management Service.

3. On the Private Image page, click Create Private Image.

4. Select the corresponding Windows cloud server from the pop-up list of cloud servers.

5. Enter the Image Name and click the Next button.

6. Check and confirm the parameters for creating a private image, then check "I have read" and click Confirm Order.

7. The image creation time may be slightly slower depending on the size of the image file itself. When the status of the image is Normal, it means that the creation is complete.
