Import Key Pair

2025-11-25 07:08:15

Scenario

If you have generated a key pair locally (e.g. using the PuTTYgen tool), you can import the public key into the Control Center and have the system maintain your public key file. This way, you can easily select the imported key pair for identity authentication when creating a cloud server.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Control Center, click at the top, and select Region.

2. Click Product and Service List in the left navigation bar and select Computing > Elastic Cloud Server.

3. In the left navigation bar, click SSH Key Pair to enter the key pair list.

4. Click the Import Key Pair button in the upper right corner and upload the public key file in the File checkbox.

Note

Public key import with a maximum length of 1024 characters (including 1024 characters) is supported.

Only RSA type keys are supported.

1. Copy the content to the Public Key Content text box and manually enter the public key name.

2. Scroll down and select Enterprise Project.

3. Click OK to complete the SSH key pair import.

4. Return to the SSH key pair list page to view the imported SSH key pair.
