Elastic Cloud Server

Modifying an Intranet IP and Switching a VPC

2025-11-25 03:19:33

Application Scenario

If the IP addresses of two instances in a VPC conflict, or the VPC network architecture and subnet division need to be adjusted during network reconstruction or migration, the Intranet IP addresses of cloud servers may need to be changed or the VPC be replaced.

Before You Begin

· The Elastic Cloud Server is in the Shutdown state.

· Only the master NIC supports modifying the Intranet IP, and the secondary NIC must be deleted first.

· If the NIC is bound to a virtual IP or DNAT rule, you need to unbind it first.

· If there is an IPv6 address on the NIC, you cannot change the Intranet IP address (including IPv4 and IPv6), please delete the IPv6 address first.

· If you need to modify the Intranet IP address of the ELB backend server, please remove the backend server group first and then modify the Intranet IP address.

· If the Elastic Cloud Server is used as the next hop of the static route, you must delete the static route before modifying the Intranet IP.

Prcedure

Log in to the console.

Click  in the upper left corner of the Control Center page to select a region.

Select Computing and click Elastic Cloud Server to enter the cloud server console page.

In the cloud server list, select the Elastic Cloud Server that needs to modify the Intranet IP or replace the VPC, select the Elastic NIC tab on the cloud server details page, and click Modify Intranet IP or Replace VPC.

In the Modify Intranet IP pop-up box or Replace VPC pop-up box, enter the relevant parameters and click OK.

 Note:

Modifying the Intranet IP will cause the cloud server network to be interrupted, and the cloud server subnet, IP address, and MAC address will be changed.

During the process of modifying the Intranet IP, please do not operate the elastic IP of the cloud server or do other operations on the cloud server.

After modifying the Intranet IP, please recheck the configuration of the security group, ACL, virtual IP address, etc.

After modifying the Intranet IP, please reconfigure the network related services and applications, such as virtual IP, static routing table, ELB, NAT, DNS, etc.
