Different generations of general-purpose cloud servers correspond to different processor models, and generally, higher generations have better performance.

2 Series

Provide basic levels of vCPU performance, balanced computing, memory, and network resources. When the host load is light, it can offer high computing power. When the host load is heavy, it cannot guarantee the stability of instance computing performance.

3 Series

Equipped with the first-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Sky Lake), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 10GE NIC, a new network acceleration engine, and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing, it provides robust and stable computing performance, higher network bandwidth, and PPS (Packets Per Second) packet transmission and reception capabilities. Suitable for scenarios with certain requirements for computing and networking, such as small websites, lightweight development and testing environments, and small to medium-sized databases.

6 Series

Equipped with the second-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Cascade Lake), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 25GE NIC, a new network acceleration engine, and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing, it provides robust and stable computing performance, higher network bandwidth, and PPS (Packets Per Second) packet transmission and reception capabilities. Suitable for scenarios with certain requirements for computing and networking, such as general-purpose databases and caching servers, and medium to heavy-load enterprise applications.

7 Series

Equipped with the third-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Ice Lake), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 25GE NIC, a new network acceleration engine, and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing, it provides even more robust and stable computing performance, higher network bandwidth, and PPS (Packets Per Second) packet transmission and reception capabilities. Suitable for web applications, e-commerce platforms, short video platforms, online gaming, insurance and finance, and other medium to heavy-load enterprise applications that require higher performance in computing and networking.

8 Series

Equipped with the third-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Ice Lake), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 100GE NIC, a new network acceleration engine, and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing, it can provide large-scale instances with 128 cores and 1024 GB of memory, 100 Gbps bandwidth, and a packet transmission and reception capability of 30 million PPS (Packets Per Second) . Suitable for computing application scenarios, web service application scenarios, media processing application scenarios, automotive industrial design simulation, digital modeling and simulation, and massive data processing scenarios, it provides high-performance computing, internet big data, government and enterprise, financial industry customers with more robust computing performance, helping customers reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and enhance the competitiveness of their enterprise products.

7Ne Series

Equipped with the third-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Ice Lake), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 25GE smart NIC, a new network acceleration engine, and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing, it enhances virtualization performance through a combination of hardware and software, significantly improving the instance's network bandwidth and packet transmission and reception capabilities. It can provide large-scale instances with 148 cores and 592 GB of memory, and a packet transmission and reception capability of 30 million PPS (Packets Per Second) . Suitable for various network-intensive application scenarios, such as NFV/SD-WAN, mobile internet, video barrage, and telecommunication service forwarding; small to medium-sized database systems, caching, and search clusters; various types and scales of enterprise-level applications; big data analysis and machine learning.

8R Series

Equipped with the fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (Sapphire Rapids), based on a new virtualization platform, using NUMA (Non-Uniform Memory Access Architecture) binding technology, with a 25GE NIC, and a new network acceleration engine along with DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for rapid packet processing. Supports advanced matrix extensions (Intel® AMX, Advanced Matrix Extension), which can enhance the CPU's deep learning training and inference performance. Configurations with 16 CPUs and above support Intel Data Protection with Compression Acceleration Technology (Intel® QAT, Quick Assist Technology), which can improve the encryption, decryption, and compression performance for specific applications and workloads.
