Enterprise Project

Enterprise Project Management (Enterprise Project Management Service, referred to as EPS) provides customers with cloud governance capabilities that match the enterprise's organizational structure and business management model. Starting from enterprise resource management, it assists enterprises in managing people, assets, and rights on the cloud using hierarchical structures like departments and project business frameworks, offering capabilities in personnel, project, and resource management.

Enterprise Project Service is free to use after application and activation; you only need to pay for the resources in your account.

Access Control

VPC

Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is an isolated and private network environment that you apply for on eSurfing Cloud. You can efficiently manage and utilize cloud resources in a secure, controllable, and isolated network environment. The VPC has a wealth of product features, allowing you to customize network addresses, route tables, security groups, etc. At the same time, the VPC offers a variety of network connections that can meet network scenarios such as inter-VPC visits in the cloud, public Internet Access, and interconnections with offline IDCs via dedicated lines or VPNs.

For more information, please refer to the VPC-Product Introduction.

Security Group

A security group is a network security protection mechanism designed to prevent unauthorized access and protect computer networks from malicious attacks. It is a virtual firewall used to restrict inbound and outbound network traffic. A security group operates at the network and transport layers, determining whether to allow traffic through by inspecting the data packet's source address, destination address, protocol type, and port numbers, among other information. After a security group is created, users can define various access rules within the security group. Once an elastic cloud server is added to the security group, it is protected by these access rules.

For the default rules of the security group, please refer to the Security Group-Overview.

Key Operation SMS Verification

Key operation verification is a secondary authentication added by the eSurfing Cloud platform to ensure security before users perform key operations. The system can only execute the user's operation after the secondary authentication is passed. It can prevent serious consequences caused by accidental operations, providing higher security.

Key operations are actions that may cause service interruptions, network outages, data loss, and similar situations.

Currently, the secondary authentication only supports verification via SMS code. If you enable SMS verification, when performing key operations in the console, the system will send an SMS code to your phone number (the one associated with your eSurfing Cloud account). You need to enter the correct verification code to execute the key operation. This helps to prevent accidental operations by you that could lead to the loss of cloud product data; on the other hand, it ensures the identity of the operator to avoid affecting business operations.

For more information, please refer to the Key Operation SMS Verification.
